WALT: Describe the layers of the earth and how they were represented by our cake.
The first part on the outside was the crust.
The second layer is the mantle.
Third layer is the outer core which is thick.
The last earth layer is the Inner core.
Crust - is the outermost solid shell of a rocky planet.
Mantle - is more than two thousand miles thick and accounts for more three-quarters of the volume of the earth.
Outer core - is a fluid layer about 2,400 km thick and composed of mostly iron and nickel that lies above earth's solid inner core.
Inner core - it is primarily a solid ball with a radius of about 1,220 kilometres, which is about 70% of the moon's radius.
Thanks for sharing about the layers of the Earth. I think I would find this post really useful if I was your age at school and trying to find information about the Earth.
