Pilot watches $2m helicopter pulled from Porirua Harbour

The Helicopter that crashed into Porirua Harbour on Tuesday has been recovered from the water. The pilot Rick Lucas, who was in the aircraft when it crashed, and his 13 year old son Bryan watched it as it came in. As the helicopter drop to the water, their were floating attached blow up bags on the side of the helicopter. Mr Lucas confirmed he will appear in court later this month on a charge of careless use of an aircraft.

News-hub has been contacted by dozens of people over the past 48 hours who have received missed calls, usually from numbers beginning with 0088 or 002, originating in chad, a landlocked country in North Central Africa.
