Residents of four Edgecumbe streets allowed home.


People who live in 46 houses in Southeaster Edgecumbe are being allowed to return home. The residents will have water services, but will have to use portaloos. There was a measure of relief on Sunday for some people who live in the drier areas of the flood ravaged bay of plenty township, as they were allowed behind the cordon to visit their homes for the first time. Sixteen hundred people fled the bay of plenty town on Thursday in a hurry when a flood-wall gave way.

Had calls from a weird overseas number lately?

If you received a phone calls from an unknown overseas number yesterday, you weren't the only one. In the past few days there's been an increase in attempts at a spam technique known Wangiri. News-hub has been contacted by dozens of people over the past 48 hours who have received missed calls, usually from numbers beginning with 0088 or 002, originating in chad, a landlocked country in North Central Africa.

Last Week Wednesday Yr 8 and Yr 7 went to tech, and made homemade mince pies. So I was team up with Athens and Meafou. When we had finish cooking our pies Mrs Tuipulotu says to us to clean the kitchen before we head back to School.
