Robbie Rakete


Yesterday after morning tea, we went to a special assembly. To go and see Robbie Rakete, that was acting for the brown Wiggle and also he spent 14 years hosting a high-Rating breakfast on Auckland's Mai FM radio. Also he was talking about his favorite book Astesix and the golden sickle, that was made in the olden days.

Sneaky snake snared at Auckland Airport


A live snake was caught on the Auckland Airport on Sunday after hitching a ride on a private jet. It appears the snake had crawled into the wheel housing of a private jet that arrived from Brisbane. We don't have snake population in New Zealand. Bio-security officials are doing their best to make sure it stays away. They say the aircraft was stationed in Brisbane for six weeks before it coming to New Zealand.

Car crashes into fence in Otara, police hunting suspect.


There was a car crash into the fence outside a seventh Day Adventist church in Otara, and police with guns on the street. Now police is hunting suspect. One local said on Facebook they' been told a man with a shotgun had been spotted in the area.

There's a $6.5 million Powerball ticket floating around Gisborne


Someone who bought a ticket at Grant Bros in Gisborne on Saturday has won $6.5 million with powerball. Lotto NZ is waiting for the winner to come forward and collect their prize, and is urging locals to look for any unchecked lotto tickets. It's the largest ever prize won by a Gisborne player, and the fourth first division powerball win this year.

Mum crash that killed 2-year-old daughter.


A mother has been found guilty of causing the death of her two year old daughter, after crashing the car. daughter, saphire was thrown from the car following the sate highway 50A accident. The 21 year old and another passenger were injured Hawke's bay Hospital, but two year old saphire died. The charge Skipper faces carries the same penalty as drink driving casing up to 10 years in prison, or a 20,000 fine.
